Angela Poschet joins ‘Lincoln in the Bardo’ as Animation Producer
The film will employ a mix of live-action and stop-motion animation to tell the story of one of the most intimate moments in Abraham Lincoln’s life, following his relationship with his recently deceased 11-year old son.
The story is based on a screenplay by George Saunders and his Booker Prize-winning novel Lincoln in the Bardo and will be directed by Duke Johnson, who is well known in the animation industry for „Anomalisa“.
In the movie, Tom Hanks will portray a live-action version of Lincoln, who made his mark in history by abolishing slavery and leading the U.S. through the Civil War. Production will take place in London.
Duke Johnson, Paul Young and Devon Young Rabinowitz are producing for Starburns Industries in co-production with Playtone.
